Head Coach

Our head coach is an active professional MMA fighter representing teams across the country (Whitefish BJJ, Gracie Barra Kirkland, Seattle Boxing Gym, Fight Ready MMA), a professional boxer under Charlie Moreno of Guadalupe Boxing gym, and a Brazilian jiu-jitsu blackbelt under Matt Thornton of Straight Blast Gym. Coach Ham began his martial arts journey in 2008 and has since competed internationally from small organizations to big organizations like LFA and Bellator MMA. Our head coach has taught youth and adults the art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu since 2014, and has since grown into a world-class instructor with experience teaching elite-level fighters from across the country. Coach Ham is currently living in Maricopa, AZ with his beautiful wife and four children. He is a full-time nursing student enrolled in the CEP program with CAC and ASU and is scheduled to graduate with his BSN in nursing in December of 2024. It's equally important for our mat guardian to break a mental sweat!

Kickboxing Coach

A dedicated kickboxing coach, brings over a decade of experience in traditional martial arts and 4 years of MMA training to his teaching. With two amateur fights under his belt, Jason combines his practical fighting experience with a deep understanding of martial arts to train and inspire his students.

Blake Young

Blake Young

Youth Jiu Jitsu & Wrestling Coach

Blake Young is a proud United States Marine Corps veteran with a Black Belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, earned in 2017. After transitioning from military service, Blake embarked on a new martial arts journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, beginning in May 2021. With experience as a high school wrestling coach, Blake brings a strong background in grappling sports to his teaching. Since February 2024, he has been coaching the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu kids class, helping young students build confidence, discipline, and physical skills through this dynamic martial art.
